The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Locum RVN to support a modern, independently owned veterinary hospital in the West Midlands with ongoing OOH night cover.
With flexible dates available throughout Spring and Summer 2026, this role offers a great opportunity to work within a well-equipped hospital environment alongside an established and supportive night team.
There is also the potential for this to lead into a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
The Hospital
This role is based within a recently established, independently owned hospital, opened within the past 5 years and fully equipped with modern facilities.
The practice benefits from a strong team culture and a genuinely supportive environment, with an in-house night team providing consistent clinical support and continuity of care.
Known for its welcoming atmosphere and collaborative approach, this is a practice where locums are well integrated into the team and valued for their contribution.

The Role
As the OOH RVN, you will be working alongside a dedicated night Veterinary Surgeon and support team, managing inpatients and supporting emergency cases within a hospital setting.
This is a hands-on role offering exposure to a varied and interesting caseload, suited to confident RVNs who are comfortable working within an OOH environment.
Hours & Shift Pattern
- Night shifts: 7:00pm – 8:00am
- Flexible dates across Spring & Summer 2026
Pay & Benefits
- Up to £30 per hour DOE
- All payroll options considered

About You
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
- 3+ years post-graduate experience
- Confident working within an OOH / hospital setting
- Strong inpatient care and emergency nursing skills
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach
