JR Veterinary are working with a reputable client who are looking for 2 Senior Official Veterinarians to be based in the Newcastle area. Ideally to start before mid July until 30th November 2023.
Details:
**Hours of Work: Usual work pattern will be Monday to Friday, 7.5 hrs per day, usually within the period 06:00 – 22:00 hrs unless by agreement. Weekend/Bank Holiday working is likely to be required but will be agreed in advance as dictated by the demands.
**Location: Newcastle. Detached duty may be required as part of the role but this will be agreed with the candidate at the time and accommodation will be provided in these circumstances
**Target day rate: Circa £400 - £450 p/d max DOE.
**Payment Terms: Must be via an umbrella.
**Notice Periods: a minimum of 7 calendar days’ notice.
**Official Controls Qualifications (Veterinary) required: OCQ(V)-ES is essential, and the veterinarian must hold a valid accreditation upon application, and for the entire deployment period. OCQ(V)-TT and OCQ(V)-SS are desirable.
**Accommodation: The candidate will be expected to have a home location and accommodation at that location.
**Transport: The candidate will be expected to have access to a car that can be used for work purposes
**Security Checks: Locums will be required to have a valid security clearance upon application. This is essential.
Locums must:
- Have current registration with RCVS;
- Have a current work permit or legal entitlement to work in the UK;
- Be fluent in oral and written English;
- Be familiar with basic IT programmes (including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Teams)
