A friendly, well‑established small animal practice in Northamptonshire is seeking a Locum Veterinary Surgeon for maternity cover from late August until approximately the end of January 2027. This is a supportive 5‑vet team with a strong focus on client care, continuity and high clinical standards.
The Role The locum will join the existing rota, which is planned three months in advance to support holiday requests and maintain team balance. The practice places a high emphasis on communication, teamwork and delivering an excellent client experience.
Key details:
- Start date: around 24th August
- Ongoing until end of January 2027
- 40 hours per week over 4–5 days
- Rota based on 37 hours per week plus 1 in 4 weekends
- No fixed day off
- No OOH
- No on‑call
- Up to £500 per day
- All payment methods accepted
- No accommodation available
Opening Hours
- Monday–Friday: 8am–7pm
- Saturday: 9am–3pm
- Sunday: 10am–3pm
