We are hiring, we are looking for a receptionist (Part-time)to join the Old School Veterinary Care Team.
Job Summary
Managing the front desk of the veterinary surgery, interacting with clients and coordinating the consultations to assist clients

- Previous experience as a receptionist

Main Duties
- Ability to deal with pets and pet owners on a daily basis
- Greeting clients
- Being attentive to pet needs
- Registering new clients and admitting clients for procedures
- Scheduling appointments and managing the diary
- Monitor schedule and flow of the consultation times
- Answering phone calls, -queries -recording all messages
- Learning about general procedures and pricing for booking appointments
- Quote prices for services
- Drafting up invoices and saving on the vet system
- Writing daily notes for animals seen in consultation on the record system
- Updating information on the vet system
- Taking payment -cash /card
- Follow up with clients to collect payment
- Keeping reception waiting area clean, assist with cleaning the practice as required
- Checking email, printing off results where required
Maintaining accurate records of services, drugs etc
- Assisting in preparing necessary files, medication and aftercare instructions
- Learning about wormers and flea treatment
- Learning about 1st /2nd vaccines -puppy ages
- Filing and organising of reception
- cashing up /downloading forms/printing at end of day
- Assisting with stock take as required
- Ad hoc duties as required
- Representing the surgery in a professional manner in front of clients, authorities and general public.
- Computer skills: able to use Windows based computer systems, word, email, web search and type up notes.
Qualifications
- General Certificate of Education (GCE)
- At least 2 years of customer service job related experience or reception experience
- Basic math and writing skills
