This is a full time permanent position, covering 43 hours per week. You will also be part of a weekend rota, covering 1:3 weekends.

They provide ongoing support to their teams, both in practice and through their dedicated training centre. This empowers you to get the very best from their advanced equipment while being on your journey to veterinary excellence.

They are looking for a dedicated and driven Student Veterinary Nurse to join their amazing team. The practice has a good caseload both medical and surgical. You will work alongside PCA's and CCA's within the team. You will have the opportunity to work on your own, as part of a team and to be able to use your own initiative.
They are looking for someone with a friendly and positive attitude who is looking to progress and expand their knowledge and skills further. They encourage and fully support further development including certificates once qualified, if desired.

You will be enrolling with the RCVS and Veterinary Nursing college to become a Student Veterinary Nurse and working with your clinical coach to progress through the qualification, attending tutor/mentoring sessions on a regular basis. You will attend college one day per week over two years. You will be an efficient and organised person to be able to work through the course and be able to work towards deadlines.

You will be helping with general duties such as assisting veterinary surgeons with their medical and surgical duties including monitoring of anaesthesia, assistance with handling of patients, supervised nurse consultations, in-patient care under the direction of the veterinary surgeon, client care on all aspects of the work at the branch. 

You will need the confidence to work alone when required. You should have a flexible and adaptable approach to work and should be happy to help and support wherever needed. 

You will be part of a rota system covering the following shifts which cover the practices opening hours of 8am-6pm.
