Job Description: The Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) plays a vital role in supporting the veterinarians and veterinary nurses in delivering high-quality care to patients. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the handling and restraint of animals during examinations and procedures.
- Providing basic nursing care under the supervision of qualified veterinary staff, including administering medications and treatments.
- Assisting with the cleaning and sterilization of equipment and surgical instruments.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment to uphold the clinic's standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Interacting with clients to provide excellent customer service, including answering questions and providing information about pet care.
Requirements:
- Preferably, previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
