I am currently working with a lovely independent practice in Maidenhead who are recruiting for a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a permanent basis.
The role is ideally 4 or 5 days per week with shifts varying between 8-4 and 11-7 Monday to Friday, plus 1 in 5 Saturday mornings 9-12.
The practice has been established in the area for over 60 years and is a family-owned, community practice, situated within beautifully converted farm buildings. They have a highly qualified team striving to provide exceptional care for their clients’ pets and are a unique practice in the area due to their size, location and independence. The practice undertake the routine work that general practice provides but also perform advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. They also offer out their services for surgical referrals from other practices. They don't have out-of-hours call outs but do keep in patients overnight so there are plenty of ongoing medical cases too.
You will be expected to provide nursing care to hospitalised patients, including patient monitoring and health checking, feeding, grooming and walking animals. administer treatments including injections, tablets, fluids and blood transfusions. Performing diagnostic tests, e.g. blood sampling, urine analysis and x-rays. Assisting in all theatre procedures, including orthopaedic and spay/neuter procedures.
The practice can offer the following package:-
- Salary up to £35,000 dependent on experience and years qualified
- RCVS and VDS fees paid
