The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a 24-hour hospital team in Brighton. This is a full-time position (4 days per week) with a 1:8 weekend rota and Monday off in lieu. The hospital has a dedicated in-house OOH team, meaning no external out-of-hours work.

You’ll be exposed to a diverse caseload, including emergency and advanced medical cases referred from multiple branches and local practices. The role is ideal for an experienced RVN who thrives in a busy, well-equipped hospital environment and enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive and skilled team.

About the Hospital

This RCVS-accredited, purpose-built facility is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical technology and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. The hospital includes dedicated cat, dog, exotic, isolation, and day procedure wards, ensuring exceptional patient care standards.

The multidisciplinary team includes certificate holders across a range of disciplines, offering referral services in orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging, and exotics. The hospital operates with separate day and night teams, ensuring continuity of care and a sustainable work-life balance.

We’re Looking For

An experienced RVN confident in managing varied medical and surgical cases

A strong communicator with a collaborative and supportive approach

Someone who is organised, calm under pressure, and skilled at prioritising tasks in a busy environment

A dedicated professional passionate about patient care and clinical excellence

Committed to ongoing professional growth and development

Work Culture & Development

The hospital team values clinical excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning. You’ll have access to structured CPD opportunities, both in-house and externally, with support to develop your skills and explore areas of special interest.
