The Role:
Our client is looking for a Neurology nurse to join their team.
This role will involve working with the canine ward surgical team caring for orthopaedic, soft tissue and neurology patients with a bimonthly focus on supporting the neurology team with diagnostic procedures including EMGs and CSF taps, bladder management, owner support for discharges and visits and developing nursing care plans alongside the rehabilitation team. This is a fixed-term role for approximately one year.
Their orthopaedic and soft tissue department allows you to utilise your nursing skills in caring for patients who have undergone advanced surgical procedures such as total hip replacements, arthrodesis, skin grafts and urethrostomy.
Previous referral experience is desirable but not essential. Full support and training will be given, but the ideal candidate would be at least 1 year qualified and be keen to learn and enhance their inpatient care skills and contribute to the continued growth and improvement of the surgical department. You will also be involved in teaching and supervising Veterinary and Veterinary Nursing undergraduates on their clinical rotations.
This role is part time averaging 18hrs per week over Tuesdays and Wednesdays 1 day of 1 in 6 weekends and 1 bank holiday a year.
