Working Hours:
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Operating on a rolling rota that accommodates the number of RVNs and their share of the on-call schedule.
Rota Overview:
- 7 weeks of day shifts, followed by 1 week on call
- Day shifts include four shifts from 8.15 am to 5 pm and one shift from 8.30 am to 6.30 pm
On-Call Responsibilities:
- Outside of specified shifts, on-call RVNs are only required on-site if called in by the vet.
- An additional Saturday morning shift (8.15 am - 12.45 pm) is worked between on-call weeks, ensuring two RVNs are present every Saturday morning.
Benefits:
- An additional Saturday morning shift provides a day off for full-time RVNs.
- Nurse OOH fee for each out-of-hours call out, with £25.00 paid to the nurse once the bill is settled.
- Mileage reimbursement for out-of-hours call outs.
Team Dynamics:
- During day shifts, we allocate time across various areas, including OPs/theatre, In-patients, Reception, Nurse Clinics, and the Lab.
- On-the-job training is available for those seeking experience in specific areas.
