An opportunity has risen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join an existing team of highly competent Nurses at an RCVS accredited practice in Belfast. Your role will be busy and varied, incorporating all aspects of nursing and the practice support their Nurses in developing any areas of interest, CPD and in-house training are actively encouraged and funded. You will demonstrate experience working as part of a team, have good communication skills, can work in a busy environment and multi-task. Experience in referrals work and/or anaesthesia is an advantage although not essential. You will be required to work 8-hour shifts across 5 days per week, between 7:30 am and 7:30 pm. There will be a 1 in 8 share in the weekend rota and approximately 5 weekends on call per year. Part-time applicants will be considered. The referral work encompasses the fields of orthopaedics, ophthalmology, internal medicine, neurology, cardiology, soft tissue surgery, rehabilitation, and pain management. Facilities include three operating theatres, an x-ray, on-site 16 slice CT, visiting high field MRI, ultrasound, arthroscopy, fluoroscopy, and endoscopy. You will be joining a wonderful team made up of 28 Nurses, Ward assistants, Lab Technicians and Sterile Services Technicians working with 9 Veterinary Surgeons. 7 of the Vets are certificate holders and 1 of them is a Specialist.
