A fantastic and infrequent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic RVN to join this reputable practice in the Derby area!
The hours of work will be 38hrs/week worked over 4 days, with 1:6 weekends. Shift times will generally sit between 7:30am-7:30pm. There is an on-call rota for referral anaesthetics, which is supplemented at an increased hourly rate if called out.
Working within a group of skilled and passionate anaesthetists and nurses, you will regularly work closely with specialist referral clinicians from a range of disciplines such as surgery, medicine, ophthalmology and neurology. You will see a varied caseload of routine and emergency cases from the soft tissue, orthopaedic, neurology and ophthalmology services. You will carry out a mixture of anaesthesia and theatre work.
The Theatre Team is made up of 8 Theatre Nurses, 6 Theatre Supports and a large team of Surgeons (Specialists, Residents & Interns) in soft tissue, orthopaedics, neurology and ophthalmology, with the support of the anaesthesia team.
Currently the site has 5 theatres, with plans to expand to 7 next year, and advanced imaging facilities including CT, MRI, digital x-ray, ultrasound and endoscopy.
Any experience of working in referrals or a further qualification in anaesthesia would be advantageous, however this is not essential.
