Are you an RVN who feels most at home in theatre? Do you have a passion for the precision and challenge of orthopaedics? JR Veterinary is seeking a dedicated Orthopaedic RVN to join one of East London’s premier 24-hour GP hospitals.
This is a specialised role designed for a nurse who wants to step away from general duties and immerse themselves in advanced surgical cases. You will be rota’d directly with the hospital’s Orthopaedic Surgeon to ensure a streamlined, expert patient journey.
The Role:
This position is perfect for a theatre-loving RVN looking to specialize. You will be the "right hand" to the surgeon, assisting in advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive procedures.
- Specialist Rota: You will work alongside the Orthopaedic Surgeon, with transition to general theatre support when they are not operating.
- Tech-Driven: Benefit from onsite CT scanning, a commercial laboratory, and a strong medical team.
- Leadership Potential: There is a genuine opportunity to explore a Theatre Lead role this spring, which includes an enhanced salary for additional leadership duties.
- Expert Support: You’ll work with a Senior Theatre RVN to advance protocols, supported by a massive team of over 27 RVNs and 14 SVNs.
The Rota & Balance
- Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Weekends: Average 1:4 with Time Off In Lieu (TOIL).
- Breaks: Paid 30-minute lunch breaks included in your shift.
- Holidays: Generous 6.6 weeks annual leave (including bank holidays).

About You
