Registered Veterinary Nurse – Small Animal Practice
Eastbourne | Full-Time | From £16 per hour
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a small animal practice in Eastbourne on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident nurse who is looking for a stable, supportive working environment with a strong focus on high standards of patient care.
You’ll work closely with the veterinary team across consultations, procedures and inpatient care, playing an important role in supporting the day-to-day clinical operations of the practice.
The Role
This is a hands-on clinical position suited to a nurse who enjoys being actively involved in patient care and working as part of a collaborative team.
Working Pattern
• 40 hours per week over 4 days
• 1 in 4–5 Saturday mornings
• Consistent working hours supporting a good work–life balance
Key Responsibilities
• Assisting veterinary surgeons during consultations, procedures and surgeries
• Administering medications, vaccinations and treatments as prescribed
• Monitoring and recording patient vital signs
• Preparing patients for surgery and assisting with post-operative care
• Carrying out routine laboratory tests and maintaining accurate records
• Ensuring clinical areas remain clean, organised and sterile
• Cleaning, maintaining and sterilising surgical instruments and equipment
Salary
• Starting salary circa £16 per hour, depending on experience
This role would suit an experienced RVN who is confident in a busy practice environment and enjoys working as part of a close-knit team delivering excellent patient care.
