Exciting RVN opportunity
Tameside Veterinary Clinic is a well-established RCVS GP accredited clinic, just a 10-minute tram ride from Manchester city centre and a stone’s throw from the rolling hills of The Peak District. We are based over 4, well-equipped sites. We also work closely with the Dogs Trust in Denton, Manchester.
Our awesome nursing team work alongside our 12-vet team. We have certificate holders in dentistry and medicine, as well as vets who are working towards certificates in imaging and dermatology. In addition, there is a visiting orthopaedic surgeon, ensuring a varied caseload.
We care about all pets and have strong ties to local and national charities. Additionally, we have several accreditations including ‘Dogs Trust Dog Friendly’ Clinic and ‘Fear Free Clinic’ and are working towards gaining ‘Cat Friendly Clinic’ accreditation across all four sites.
We pride ourselves on staff retention and offer a kind, friendly and supportive workplace atmosphere. We were recently awarded ‘Outstanding’ accreditation in the RCVS PSS in ‘Team and Professional Responsibility’ and ‘Client Service’ awards.
We invest heavily in our team and equipment, so that we can offer a high standard of care to our patients.
About the role:
We are looking for a confident RVN, who is looking to further their clinical skills and provide high standards of care to our patients and their families. We really value the clinical expertise of our nurses, and we are extremely proud that we already have several certificate holders on the team and would encourage and support further certificate study.
- Salary between £28,000 - £30,000 (pro-rata) depending on experience
- Full time role, but part time would be considered
- 37.5 hours week with a shift pattern that promotes good work: life balance
- A share in the Saturday rota, no Sundays, no OOHs, no bank holidays
