The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team here at White Cross Vets, Walkden!
We are a busy practice with a varied caseload. Our nurses are encouraged to use their nursing skills to the full, and you will have the opportunity to work across all areas of the practice. Nurses have regular opportunities to be involved with orthopaedic surgery, anaesthesia, non-surgical procedures, nurse consultations and client education. Main responsibilities include in-patient care of surgical and medical cases, anaesthesia and nurse consultations.
As a full-time member of the team, you will work 37.5 hours, over 5 days. You will also be required to participate in the weekend rota. TOIL is given for any weekend hours worked. There is no out of hours required.
Salary for the role is up to £30,000 depending on experience.
About Us
Our Walkden practice is a large, spacious practice over two floors with top facilities and equipment. Our practice is fully equipped with an operating theatre, digital x-ray, full in house IDEXX lab, ultrasound and BP monitor. We have 3 consulting rooms and separate cat and dog wards. The Walkden team have a diverse range of skills and interests and are all very supportive and eager to help each other out.
The nursing team run regular weight clinics, cuddle clinics and senior clinics. We are passionate about helping our community and work with our local school children on responsible pet ownership as well as local charity 'Dogs 4 Rescue'.

Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated veterinary nurse who can thrive in our high-quality practice. • Experience working within a small animal veterinary practice
• RCVS registered
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• A passion to deliver great clinical quality and fantastic client service
• Desire and passion to care for pets as if they are your own
