A supportive small animal practice in Greater Manchester (Ashton-under-Lyne area) is looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join their team.
The surgery boasts excellent team retention, a strong "proud to be part of the team" ethos, and a commitment to fair treatment and continuous professional development. You will be joining an established nursing team of 5 along with a dedicated front-of-house team of 6 receptionists.
Role & Rota Details:
- Key Focus: Theatre-focused nursing duties following a Vet's completion of a Surgery Certificate. Responsibilities include monitoring anaesthetics, assisting in surgical procedures, and managing smooth theatre workflows.
- Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week). Shift patterns run 08:30 – 16:30 or 11:00 – 19:00, with an option to work a 4-day week (long days) if preferred.
- Weekend Rota: 1 in 4 Saturdays (with time off in lieu).
- Out-of-Hours: None (no OOH or overnight inpatient checks).
Candidate Requirements:
- Good general nursing experience and excellent customer service skills.
- Cheerful, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic approach with a passion for animal welfare and surgical nursing.
Package & Remuneration:
- Salary: Up to £37,000 FTE (depending on experience).
- Professional Fees & CPD: RCVS, BVNA, and VDS memberships fully paid, alongside generous CPD allowances (including support and funding for certificates).
