The role
We are looking for a new Head Veterinary Nurse to join our Fortis Green practice! This role would be suitable for a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to develop their management skills or a current Head Veterinary Nurse looking for a change! We may also consider a soon to qualify student nurse who shows a passion to progress into management. The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the nursing team and Branch Partner. As a Head Veterinary Nurse you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice. You will also assist in the training of our Patient Care Assistants. You will be working 40 hours per week with 1 in 6 weekend shifts at our local 24 hour hospital, as well as a fair (yet small) share of bank holiday and on call duties. What we’ll offer you! A salary of £32,500 dependent on experience, generous CPD allowance and in-house CPD available, on-going training is provided as relevant to your role, RCVS and VDS fees paid, 25 days paid annual leave, Exclusive company discounts and rewards. Our lovely practice, based a short walk from East Finchley tube station on the Northern Line, is led by Branch Partner, Rayyan. It is equipped with one consult room, theatre, in house lab, dentistry and digital x-ray facilities. Feeding in to our award winning 24 Hour Hendon hospital where the exceptional care for your patients is continued out-of-hours, you also have access to advanced equipment such as Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Arthroscopy, CT and MRI.
