Specialist in Small Animal & Canine Rehabilitation
Location: Middle East

A well equipped veterinary practice in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician / Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with expertise in canine rehabilitation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rehabilitation service dedicated to improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing long-term quality of life for their working animals. They are looking for a motivated professional who combines strong clinical skills with a compassionate approach.

Key Responsibilities

Rehabilitation & Treatment Delivery

Implement individualized rehabilitation protocols under veterinary direction

Perform therapeutic exercises and passive range of motion (PROM) therapy

Conduct and manage underwater treadmill sessions

Patient Monitoring & Case Management

Assess pain levels and functional mobility

Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly

Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

Client Education & Communication

Instruct handlers in structured home exercise programs

Provide guidance on environmental modifications

Support long-term patient compliance and recovery outcomes

Supportive & Postoperative Care

Assist in the management of orthopaedic and neurological cases

Support geriatric and chronic pain patients

Contribute to postoperative rehabilitation plans

Requirements: 

 

Education

Veterinary Technician/Nurse qualification (RVN or equivalent)

Certification in Canine Rehabilitation or demonstrable rehabilitation experience

Experience

Minimum 5 years of clinical experience, including rehabilitation work

Proven experience in small animal practice

Ideal Candidate Profile

Confident handling skills with rehabilitation patients

Excellent communication and client education abilities

Strong record-keeping standards

Team-oriented with a proactive mindset
