Our client is looking for an RVN to join their team for 10 months to cover Maternity. You will be warmly welcomed into the team and will be joining a group of veterinary professionals who all work hard, enjoy a laugh and support each other daily. This team genuinely enjoys their working days together and sometimes attend socialising events. Along with an enthusiastic and fun team with high clinical standards, their aim is to provide the best possible medical and surgical veterinary care for their patients in a pleasant, friendly environment. You will be working alongside a dedicated team of Vets and Nurses that are supported by a fantastic front-of-house team. This practice is well equipped with a brand-new x-ray machine, brand new ultrasound machine, an extensive in-house lab, ECG, Dental x-ray and more. Situated in a picturesque market town surrounded by lots of countryside, this is a fantastic location with lots of local cities within easy reach.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Undertake all general nursing duties within the practice and provide assistance to all Veterinary surgeons when required.
- Administer treatment including injections, medications, fluid therapy, dressings and euthanasia as directed.
- Care for all in-patients including pre op care/medication, monitoring and recovery as well as post op care/medication.
- Participate in a Saturday shared nursing Rota.
- Participate in cleaning and maintenance of the premises and patient areas, particularly the clinical areas.
- Provide support and assistance to the clinical nursing manager and practice manager.
- Work effectively and efficiently as part of a team.
This is a Fixed Term, Full Time role 7.30am – 8pm and 1:6 Saturdays 8am – 4.30pm.
