My client is seeking a Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse - Education to uphold high clinical standards and optimise patient care. In collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will identify training needs and ensure effective education and development within the team.
The practice is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with at least two years post-qualification experience, strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently. Previous experience as a clinical supervisor or mentor is preferred.
The role combines clinical duties with leadership and administrative responsibilities, with protected time for management tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Clinical Nursing Manager in identifying and implementing learning and development needs for the nursing team.
- Oversee CPD activities and manage requests for external courses.
- Utilise support from the Professional Development Team
- Ensure new nurses and students receive necessary training and induction.
- Manage Training Practice approval and audits.
- Maintain knowledge of RCVS Day One Skills and Code of Professional Conduct.
- Ensure students and apprentices are supported appropriately in line with their education stage.
- Support Clinical Supervisors and Mentors with training, time allocation, and development.
- Provide line management, feedback, and coaching to direct reports.
