Schedule: 4-day week, 1:6 weekends
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to our animal patients and their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide excellent nursing care to hospitalized patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with surgeries.
- Client Communication: Educate and advise pet owners on postoperative care, general pet health, and wellness.
- Clinical Procedures: Assist veterinarians with diagnostic procedures, surgeries, and routine check-ups.
- Laboratory Work: Perform in-house lab tests and prepare samples for external laboratories.
- Anaesthesia and Pain Management: Administer and monitor anaesthesia and analgesia during surgeries and procedures.
- Emergency Care: Provide urgent and emergency nursing care as needed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the practice management system.
- Hygiene and Cleanliness: Ensure that all areas of the clinic are kept clean, tidy, and disinfected.
Requirements:
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification.
- Current membership with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
- Previous experience in a veterinary practice is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate and dedicated to providing high standards of patient care.
- Flexibility to work 4 days a week and 1 in every 6 weekends.
