This is a unique opportunity for a Head Nurse to build a nursing function from the ground up, shaping the standards, the team, and the culture from day one.
From your first day, you will have the autonomy to influence clinical protocols and build a team where nursing skills are fully utilised and genuinely valued.
The Opportunity: Building from the Ground Up
This is a leadership role with genuine influence. You won’t be fitting into an old structure; you’ll be the one designing the workflow.
- Lead & Create: Recruit, mentor, and develop a fresh nursing team.
- Clinical Power: Drive the full utilisation of nursing skills, including Schedule 3 procedures.
- Culture Setter: Define the "ways of working" to ensure a calm, positive, and collaborative environment.
- Operational Influence: Oversee everything from nurse clinics and inpatient care to theatre standards and student coaching.
The Rota: Modern & Sustainable
The practice is committed to a healthy work-life balance with a clear, structured rota:
- The Week: 4 days per week (9-hour shifts).
- The Hours: Average 39-hour working week.
- The Weekend: A fair 1 in 4 rotation.
- Support: Nurse care nights are part of the role, with on-site accommodation provided whenever required.
