***Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse***
Join our client growing team in a full-time, permanent role with a workweek of 37.5 hours. They offer a 1 in 4 Saturday or Sunday morning surgery rota with no out-of-hours commitment. As an independent two-site practice, they boast a diverse caseload, ensuring each day brings new challenges and experiences. Collaborate with a passionate and dedicated team of Vets, RVN’s, SVN’s, and Receptionists committed to delivering the highest standard of care.
Their caring, sympathetic, and professional approach extends to both patients and clients, reflecting in everything we do. The role involves working across their different sites and will closely support our Veterinary Surgeons in examinations, treatments, procedures, and the overall smooth operation of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring anaesthetics, administering drugs and medication
- Preparing animals for surgery
- Holding and monitoring animals during operations
- Maintaining, sterilising, and preparing surgical equipment
- Post-surgery cleanup
- Undertaking diagnostic tests
- Preparing and sending off laboratory samples
- Taking X-Rays
- Caring for, exercising, and grooming animal in-patients
- Providing advice on animal care and breeding to owners
- Conducting nurse clinics
- Record-keeping, report writing, and filing
Requirements:
- Qualified Vet Nurse
- Registered with RCVS
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
- Confidence in all areas of general small animal nursing
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
