Are you a Senior RVN ready to step into leadership, or an established Head Nurse looking for a fresh challenge? We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Head Veterinary Nurse to lead the clinical teams across two neighbouring branches in the North London area.
This is a unique opportunity to oversee the nursing operations of two sites just one mile apart, offering a varied working week and the chance to truly shape the culture and clinical standards of both teams.
The Role: Leadership in Action
In this position, you are the clinical heartbeat of the nursing team. You will split your week between two local branches, ensuring exceptional care is delivered consistently while mentoring and developing your colleagues.
- Clinical Excellence: Lead by example with nurse-led appointments, Schedule 3 activities, and surgical support.
- Team Development: Inspire, develop, and mentor your nursing team, helping them reach their full potential.
- Operational Standards: Maintain the highest levels of regulatory compliance and patient care protocols.
- Diverse Caseload: Manage everything from admissions and discharges to complex surgical monitoring.
The Rota & Balance
- Weekend Rotation: 1 in 3 Saturdays (branch-based), or a mix of Saturday/Sunday shifts at a local 24-hour hospital (1 in 6 full weekends).
- Out of Hours: Minimal on-call commitment (approx. 2 or 3 weeks per year) and a fair share of Bank Holidays.
- Variety: Experience both community branch life and the fast-paced environment of a major hospital.
