Job Description:
Independent, family-run and celebrating 20 years in Oxford. Could you be our next nurse?
This year, Oxford Cat Clinic celebrates its 20th birthday, and we’re looking for a registered veterinary nurse to join our team!
If you love working with cats but don’t want to leave general practice behind, this role offers both. You’ll be based mainly at Oxford Cat Clinic in Botley, with regular shifts at Oxford Vet Clinic in Marston to keep your skills with other species in use.
Being independent matters to us. We know our team, our clients and their pets, and we make our decisions here in the practice. We want to provide good, thoughtful veterinary care, with time to listen and offer options that work for each pet and their owner.
There are no sales targets or expectations to upsell. However, as busy practices, we expect everyone to work hard, support each other, and respond to the needs of our patients and clients throughout the day.
Two practices, one team
Oxford Cat Clinic opened in Botley in 2006, followed by our Marston branch in 2017.
Following a full refurbishment towards the end of 2025, Marston reopened as Oxford Vet Clinic, welcoming dogs, cats and other small pets. We’ve put a lot of thought into this new venture, keeping visits comfortable for our feline patients, with separate cat waiting areas, consulting rooms and a ward, alongside facilities for dogs and other small pets.
Botley remains exclusively for cats, with a wealth of feline experience within the team.
Our referral service is led by Martha Cannon, RCVS Specialist in Feline Medicine, and both practices work closely together, sharing knowledge and supporting one another.
