The Role
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join on a part-time basis at Brownlow vets, Border Veterinary Centre! This would be a temporary contract covering maternity leave. You will complete general nurse duties including; consulting, assisting the vets, monitoring anaesthetics, making appointments, telephone duties and cleaning.
You will be required to work 28.5 hours per week, we are able to offer a flexible shift pattern but ideally, we would like 3 days working 8:30 am-7 pm. There is not a requirement for weekend work or out of hours, however an ability to cover inpatients at night would be an advantage.
The salary for this role is up to £17,500 FTE depending on experience.
About Us
We are a progressive, small animal practice in a beautiful part of the Shropshire/Welsh border with fabulous links to Snowdonia national park, the Welsh coastline and several cities including Manchester and Liverpool. Our dedicated team work to a consistently high standard and our practice has fantastic facilities to cater to this including in-house bloods, ultrasound including cardiac, endoscope, blood pressure monitoring, fully monitored anaesthetic machine and much more.
Our practice is made up of a friendly, close-knit team, consisting of 6 vets, 3 registered veterinary nurses, 4 student veterinary nurses, 2 animal nursing assistants and a dedicated reception team. With some team members holding both a surgical and medical certificate, there is a variety of caseloads to broaden knowledge and skill set. We strive to offer a unique, client-friendly experience that you would expect from your neighbourhood vets.
Applicant Requirements
Our ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse, experience preferred but not essential. You will be a team player, with the ability to work independently and a good sense of humour will be a great benefit.
