What You’ll Do
This is a hands‑on clinical role with added leadership responsibilities, supporting the Head Nurse in the day‑to‑day coordination of the nursing team and clinical workflows. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering high standards of inpatient, theatre, and outpatient nursing care in line with clinical protocols.
- Supporting the Head Nurse in driving clinical efficiency, governance, and continuous improvement within the practice.
- Providing line management and leadership support to the nursing team, including supervision and guidance during shifts.
- Contributing to training, mentoring, and team development, supporting colleagues to build confidence and capability.
- Assisting in rota coordination, workflow planning, and effective case management.
- Collaborating with veterinary surgeons, care assistants, and client‑care teams to maintain smooth clinical operations.
- Participating in the practice rota, including 1 in 4 weekends and duty nights on rotation.
