Anaesthesia Registered Veterinary Nurse – Specialist, Independent Referral Hospital | Surrey
Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a passion for anaesthesia and referral-level care? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly respected multidisciplinary referral hospital in Surrey, supporting advanced surgical and diagnostic procedures within a dedicated anaesthesia team.
This role is ideal for an RVN looking to develop their career in referral nursing, working alongside specialist clinicians and experienced colleagues in a collaborative hospital environment.
The Role
Provide anaesthesia support across surgical and diagnostic procedures within a busy referral hospital
Assist with creating and implementing tailored anaesthesia plans for patients
Monitor patients throughout anaesthesia, surgery, and recovery
Deliver exceptional patient care across the full peri-anaesthetic process
Work closely with anaesthetists, veterinary surgeons, nurses, interns, and patient care assistants
Support training and integration of new team members when required
Participate in regular CPR and crash training
Full-time rota typically includes a 4-day week
1:4 weekend rotation (reduced weekend commitment may be considered for part-time hours)
Flexible or part-time working patterns available and open for discussion
About You
Qualified and registered RVN with solid clinical nursing experience
Previous referral nursing experience preferred
Strong interest in anaesthesia and advanced patient care
Anaesthesia certificate not essential - support for development encouraged
Confident communicator who enjoys teamwork within a hospital setting
Passionate about delivering high standards of compassionate patient care
