We are working with a well-established, multi-site veterinary group in Surrey, looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to cover a 12-month maternity leave. This is a genuine senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Lead or Head Nurse who is ready to step up — without stepping away from the clinical work they love.
The Basics
- Salary: From £40,000 depending on experience
- Contract: Fixed term, 12 months maternity cover
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- No weekends. No out of hours.
What the role actually looks like
This is not an office-bound management role. You will spend three days per week clinically active across the three practice sites — typically one day at each — with two days focused on leadership, admin and team development. The split is flexible depending on your experience and the needs of the team.
Day to day you will be:
- Overseeing nursing standards and day to day operations across all three sites
- Mentoring and developing nurses at every stage of their career
- Shaping processes that directly influence patient care and clinical outcomes
- Contributing to senior leadership discussions and practice strategy
- Influencing multi-site workflows and supporting a highly engaged team
