An exciting permanent leadership opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to step into a Head RVN role at a growing small animal practice in Surrey.
Working alongside an engaged clinical partner, you will be given the autonomy to lead and shape the nursing team, influence day-to-day practice operations, and foster a positive workplace culture while delivering high standards of care to a loyal local client base.
Role & Rota Breakdown:
- Position: Permanent, Full-Time Head RVN.
- Core Responsibilities: Leading nurse-led appointments, Schedule 3 procedures, supporting consultations and surgeries, managing admissions/discharges, and providing clinical leadership and development to the nursing team.
- Hospital & Weekend Cover: Part of the role includes working an 8-hour shift at a nearby 24-hour hospital every fourth weekend (alternating between Saturdays and Sundays), along with participating in the hospital on-call rota.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse with clinical leadership experience or a senior RVN ready to step up into management.
- Confident in getting the best out of colleagues, coaching team members, and taking ownership of clinical and operational standards.
Package & Benefits:
- Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience).
- Annual Leave: 5 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays (increasing with length of service) plus an extra paid day off.
