The Practice
This long-established, multi-site small animal group has been caring for pets across the North East of England for decades. The hospital site acts as a central hub, supporting surrounding branches across the region.
Facilities include:
Tier 3 RCVS accredited hospital
Advanced surgical facilities
Dedicated feline unit (Gold Standard Cat Friendly status)
In-house diagnostics
CT imaging service
Laparoscopic surgery
Orthopaedic service
The team includes multiple certificate holders across both veterinary and nursing disciplines, with a strong emphasis on high clinical standards and exceptional patient care.
The practice is also recognised for:
ISFM Gold Standard accreditation
Environmental responsibility accreditation

The Role
Full-time – 40 hours per week
4-day week (10-hour shifts)
Day and night positions available
Weekend rota currently 1 in 6 Saturdays and 1 in 8 Sundays (subject to business needs)
This role offers excellent clinical exposure, with opportunities to:
Work within advanced surgical and orthopaedic services
Assist with CT imaging cases
Get involved in laparoscopic procedures
Become or train as a Clinical Coach
Salary & Benefits
From £28,745 per annum (DOE)
6 weeks holiday including bank holidays (pro rata)
£600 CPD allowance per annum (pro rata)
3 paid CPD days per year (pro rata)

RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
