We are working with a well-established, independently owned veterinary group in West Sussex who are looking for an Veterinary Care Assistant to join their busy hospital team.
The role in a nutshell
Based primarily at a busy hospital site, you will work alongside a skilled nursing and veterinary team, supporting day to day clinical operations, patient care and client interactions. You may also be asked to cover other nearby sites as needed.
What you will be doing day to day:
- Assisting the nursing and vet team with hands-on patient care
- Supporting clinical procedures and keeping things running smoothly
- Handling reception duties and client-facing interactions
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised clinical environment
- A valid driving licence is required due to the location of the sites.
About you
Experience with animals or in the veterinary industry is desirable — but not essential. What matters most is that you bring the right attitude and share the values that run through everything this group does: humility, respect, empathy, hard work, honesty, communication and teamwork.
The working pattern
- 5 days per week across 8-hour shifts, totalling 40 hours
- Equal weekend and bank holiday rota, with 2 days off in lieu for every weekend worked
The package
- Starting salary of £25,792 per annum
