Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice, Bedford
GVC are proud to be assisting a highly respected independent veterinary group in Bedford as they look for a new Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team.
This role is based primarily at their main hospital site, working alongside a large team of 14 vets, 20 RVNs, and 16 receptionists. The hospital offers a varied caseload, excellent facilities, and a culture that encourages clinical freedom and development.
The Role
- 4-day working week with a good mix of consults and surgery (consults-only considered).
- 1:4 Friday evening OOH rota (7pm onwards), supported by an on-site nurse.
- Accommodation available if required - for inpatient care
- Opportunity to pursue areas of interest, with Ophthalmology and Dermatology particularly welcome.
- Replacement role due to a vet relocating at year-end.
About You
- 2–5 years’ experience in GP practice, confident with both medicine and surgery.
- RCVS-registered
- Excellent communicator and a proactive team player.
- Keen to develop further, with certificate support available.
