Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Vet looking to join a supportive, experienced team? A well-established small animal practice in Bedfordshire is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to provide high-quality care while developing your skills in a friendly, well-equipped environment.
About us
You’ll be joining a close-knit team of 4 Vets, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 4 Receptionists, and 1 Veterinary Care Assistant. One of our Vets holds a certificate in ophthalmology, and alternative therapies such as acupuncture are actively encouraged.
Our air-conditioned, purpose-built practice features state-of-the-art equipment including digital x-rays, ultrasound, tonometry, and a K-laser. Conveniently located with excellent road links, we are just 40 minutes from Cambridge and close to major transport connections.
About you
We’re looking for a Vet with excellent all-round General Practice skills, both medical and surgical, who enjoys building strong relationships with clients, patients, and colleagues. Confidence with occasional sole charge is expected. You’ll be part of a team handling a 50/50 mix of surgical and medical cases, including occasional orthopaedics.
Role details
📆 Full-time, 37 hours per week
⏰ 1:4 weekends – Saturday 8:30am–6pm, Sunday 10am–4pm
❌ No out-of-hours requirements
🩺 General practice with both surgical and medical cases
💼 Support for CPD and additional certifications
