Fantastic opportunity for a part time Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our very friendly team at our Practice in Thornbury. The ideal candidate would be wanting a part time role, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We are flexible on hours to fit around your commitments, but on one of the days you would be required to work until 7PM, as part of a fair share of the consulting rota.
We are looking for someone who strives for clinical excellence, client and patient care, has a passion to do things right clinically and as importantly a great team player. You will be covering all areas of first opinion work within a supportive and experienced team.
The salary will be up to £63,000 FTE depending on experience.
You will have the full support of a 24-hour hospital service within the Rowe family and incredibly supportive colleagues at all 5 of Rowe Vet Group sites, as well as the support from our own Referral Service. You will be required to work at the Hospital on a 1:8 day weekend rota, where you and two other vets will manage our inpatients and emergency consulting for our own out of hours service. We still believe that providing our own dedicated out of hours service means we can continue to provide the excellent level of care and client continuity synonymous with our ethos here at the Rowe Veterinary Group, we do not however require any on call or night work.
About Us
The practice has all the capability of a much larger practice whilst enjoying the ethos of smaller team. Equipment includes digital X-ray, separate dental X-ray equipment and dental operating theatre, ultrasound, advanced anaesthetic monitoring equipment.
We have separate dog and cat wards; a dedicated cat operating theatre and we actively promote our cat friendly silver status. We offer acupuncture on top of the usual first opinion work.
You will have the clinical freedom to work up your own cases as you wish with the support of colleagues with certificates in Medicine, Surgery and Cardiology. The caseload is interesting and varied but there is time to think cases through and report results. Wellbeing and work-life balance are essential for all of us at Rowe, lunch breaks are taken and we leave on time.
