Our client - a Large animal and Equine practice - are recruiting a new Veterinary Surgeon to join their talented team.
The role includes working 4-5 days per week 30-41 hrs per week averaging 1 in 3 Saturday working, no Sundays.
Accommodation can be provided if required alternatively a relocation allowance of up to £5,000 is available!
In this role, you will enjoy a perfect balance between consulting and operating on a variety of routine and urgent cases, ensuring a dynamic and engaging working day. This includes dentals, orthopaedics, thyroidectomies, scans, brand new DR x-ray machine, varying soft tissue surgeries, endoscope, state of the art lab with huge numbers of tests run in house.
Our client is a busy first opinion practice who see a wide variety of cases. They have a purpose-built building in the lovely rural area of Ely, Cambridgeshire, with an experienced and supportive team who work together to create a positive working environment. They believe their team is one of their best assets, they really are like family.
They have a 6-vet team, all general practitioners with their own areas of interest with enhanced knowledge within these areas, including diagnostic imaging cert, a visiting orthopaedic surgeon & ECC Nurse, with more studying towards their certificate. The vets enjoy discussing cases of interest amongst themselves and use each other’s knowledge to enhance patient care. There is a visiting orthopaedic specialist who visits regularly, that the vets have the opportunity to be involved with. There is a 8 nurse team, again they have areas of interest, with nurses specialising in wound care, ISFM certificate and Emergency and Critical care. The practice do a lot of work with local charities including WGAS, RSPCA and particularly with cats protection, whom they work extremely close with.
Our client offers an excellent package with a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum including Private Medical Insurance, £1250 CPD allowance with 40 hours paid pro rata, VDS and RCVS fees paid and plenty more.
