An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join Isabelle Vets as we continue to expand and grow our services on the beautiful island of Guernsey.
With a brand-new equine clinic opening in January 2027, this is a unique opportunity to join us at the beginning of an exciting new chapter and play a leading role in developing our growing equine service.
Alongside a competitive salary and excellent benefits, we're offering a £2,000 joining reward and up to £1,500 relocation support for eligible direct applicants.
Accommodation is also typically provided for your first six months (depending on availability), helping make your move to Guernsey as easy as possible.
Your opportunity to make your mark
We are looking for a 100% Equine Vet with experience, enthusiasm and ambition to lead the equine team and help shape this exciting new facility.
This is much more than joining an established practice. You'll have the opportunity to build and develop a growing equine service, influence how the clinic operates and work alongside an experienced and supportive veterinary team.
The new equine clinic will include:
- On-site stabling
- Lunging and trot-up area
- Treatment room with stocks
- Knock-down box
- Theatre facilities
- Quality dental equipment
- Radiography
- Ultrasonography
- Endoscopy
- On-site laboratory
The clinic will sit alongside our new bespoke small animal practice, creating an exciting environment where different areas of veterinary expertise can work closely together.
There is a strong orthopaedic and dental component to our daily caseload, alongside an established team of ambulatory vets who are keen to learn and refer into the clinic.
When required, visiting specialists will be encouraged to support surgeries, helping to reduce the need for horses to travel off-island for treatment.
