Night Veterinary Surgeon
£2,000 Joining Bonus + Up to £1,500 Relocation Support
Isabelle Vets | Guernsey | Permanent | 7 nights on / 14 nights off | Competitive salary + excellent benefits
Looking for something a little different?
Would you thrive with autonomy in your veterinary work, enjoy a fantastic work-life balance and like the idea of living and working on the beautiful island of Guernsey?
Due to expansion and continued growth, Isabelle Vets is looking for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our fantastic team.
This is an exciting time to join us, with our brand-new veterinary practice at Garenne Park, which is due to open in January 2027 and is pending hospital status. Joining us now means you’ll be part of an established practice while also helping to shape the future of our expanding services.
Alongside a competitive salary and excellent benefits, we are offering a £2,000 joining reward and up to £1,500 relocation support for eligible direct applicants.
Accommodation is typically provided for your first six months, helping make your move to Guernsey as easy as possible (depending on availability).
The Role
This position offers a great work-life balance, with a rota of 7 nights on followed by 14 nights off, working from 6.15pm to 8.15am.
That means plenty of downtime to enjoy everything Guernsey has to offer, from beautiful beaches and cliff walks to watersports, boat trips and outdoor adventures.
The role will mainly require small animal experience, but if you have large animal experience, we would be interested in speaking to you too.
You’ll receive excellent support from our large, friendly team in our 95% companion animal practice, while having the autonomy to work confidently overnight.
About us
We are a busy, RCVS-accredited first opinion practice with our vets, including several certificate holders, all working to an extremely high standard.
Our skilled team of RVNs, reception and administration colleagues work collaboratively to ensure we provide the best possible service to owners and their pets.
The practice is furnished with the equipment required to investigate and treat conditions medically and surgically, particularly given the geographical limitations around referral.
We are currently undergoing an exciting period of expansion, growth and investment, with our new Garenne Park practice due to open in January 2027.
Our new practice will include:
- Six consulting rooms
- Four operating theatres
- Dedicated dog and cat waiting areas
- Modern hospitalisation facilities and kennels
- Dedicated cattery
- CT and X-ray facilities
- Dental facilities
- Space allocated for MRI
- Dedicated equine facilities and stabling
- 24-hour veterinary care
Joining us now means you’ll have the opportunity to help shape how our new practice and services develop as we enter this exciting new chapter.
