We’re looking for a permanent Mixed or Farm Animal Vet to join our friendly, progressive team. The role is completely flexible depending on your preference for farm animal or small animal. The ideal candidate will have experience in mixed practice and a passion for delivering excellent care.
Our practice takes work–life balance seriously. We offer a 4.5 day week (alternating 4-day and 5-day weeks). The OOH rota is 1:6 with a day off in-lieu after a weekend on-call. There is a maximum of 6 half-day Saturdays per year. We can provide a work van or pay you mileage. There is overnight accommodation provided when you are on-call. We also offer excellent opportunities for career development, with CPD fully supported, so you can continue growing as a vet.
You’ll be supported by our large, experienced team of vets, nurses and support colleagues making it easy to focus on what you do best: looking after your patients. You’ll enjoy a varied and interesting case load every day, with the chance to develop your skills in a modern, well-equipped practice.
We provide a progressive farm animal service to our dairy, beef and sheep clients. We offer comprehensive herd/flock health advice as well as a full service for fertility, mastitis, calf health, bull/ram fertility and parasite control.
For small animals we’ve invested in the latest equipment, including ultrasound, DR X-ray, dental X-ray, and in-house blood machines, so you have everything you need to provide the very best care.
Located just 40 minutes south of Dublin, we’re perfectly placed between the stunning Wicklow Mountains and the sea—a beautiful area with plenty to enjoy on your days off.
Salary: €48,000 – €80,000, depending on experience.
