Looking for an experienced enthusiastic and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join a team of caring and professional vets and nurses at a RCVS Accredited Well Established Mixed Animal Vet practice in Cumbria. Two purpose-built surgeries that are based between the Lakes and the Dales, beautiful parts of the country. The full time, standard shift pattern involves approximately 36 hours during the week plus a share of OOH rota. 1-in-5 weekends on call (practice closed except for Saturday AM) and a share of weekday on-calls equating to approximately 1 night every 2 weeks. Flexible approach to working whether you need to do the school pick up, reduced hours during school holidays or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern the practice and fix or flex work patterns to suit you.Team of 10 small animal vets that are of part of a 15-vet mixed Small animal and Farm practice – Small Animal and Farm Animal run as separate clinical teams. There are 8 RVNs and 1 SVN and to compliment the team of 12 full and part time support staff across the two sites. Certificate holders in cardiology, Cert AVP and master’s in animal behaviour. Looking for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in orthopaedic surgery. Opportunities for progression within the practice exist for the right candidate looking for a long-term role. Fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology offering a wide range of medical and surgical treatments including Digital radiography, endoscopy/bronchoscopy, modern operating theatres, in house lab and ultrasound scanners at both sites.
