Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that’s why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career. General opening hours are 8am – 7pm and some weekend work is required. No out of hours are required as Pride Park cover this service.

A family of veterinary services

Our customers come back to us again and again because they know we care. With regular returning customers you will build and enjoy the long-term rapport that is built over time. We offer a full range of services for the pets but where there is an extremely complex case we can rely on the support of the referral team at our Pride Park site. Out of hours services are also provided by Pride Park.

First class care

We are proud to offer outstanding care to pets and their owners in Derby and surrounding areas. As well as having a central hospital with a referral centre and a dedicated night team our local practices are at the heart of the community, offering first class care at a convenient location for pet owners. The modern equipment at Shelton Lock includes digital x ray and ultra-sound. We have one prep area; one operating theatre and two consulting rooms so therefore provide an all-round service.

Being a local community practice, at Shelton Lock we have huge drive and determination to offer the best service. We are RCVS accredited for small animal general practice and we are supported by qualified and experienced nurses. We also have client care advisors as the first point of contact with our patients and their people.
