An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Small Animal Vet to join our team at Scarsdale Vets in Shelton Lock. At Shelton Lock, you will have access to a surgical caseload alongside your consult rota. We work alongside Nottingham University final year vet students who help us to run Derby’s Blue Cross clinic. The Blue Cross are a charity that provide specialist care, services and support for pets and people throughout their life together. You will have the opportunity to help support the Blue Cross clinic with a variety of routine procedure.
A salary of up to £63,000 dependent on experience.

We offer a full range of services for the pets but where there is an extremely complex case we can rely on the support of the referral team at our Pride Park site. Out of hours services are also provided by Pride Park.

As well as having a central hospital with a referral centre and a dedicated night team our local practices are at the heart of the community, offering first class care at a convenient location for pet owners. The modern equipment at Shelton Lock includes digital x ray and ultra-sound. We have one prep area; one operating theatre and two consulting rooms so therefore provide an all-round service.
Being a local community practice, at Shelton Lock we have huge drive and determination to offer the best service. We are RCVS accredited for small animal general practice and we are supported by qualified and experienced nurses. We also have client care advisors as the first point of contact with our patients and their people. We proactively run many clinics including Derby’s Blue Cross clinic alongside Nottingham University Final Year Vet Students. Working together as a bonded team we visualise you also becoming an integral part of the local community, very trusted to provide the absolute best care and advice available. We are a long-established team here and we greatly enjoy working with each other and the environment together
