JR is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their client’s team of 5 vets, 15 Nurses, 9 Receptionists and the Practice Director, across 2 sites. Situated in a beautiful seaside town close to all the amenities the practice offers a full and wide range of modern equipment including a well-equipped internal laboratory, two digital x-ray machines, 2 dental suites with x-ray facilities, endoscopy, laparoscopic surgical equipment, 2 ultrasound machines and 5 operating theatres.
The successful candidate will be expected to actively encourage development within the team whilst contributing to the management, organisation, and financial performance of the practice by working with the Practice Director. Occasionally you will Deputise for the Clinical Director(s) when the Clinical Director(s) are absent. As well as always assume responsibility for surgical and medical cases and ensuring a high standard of care and service to the patients and clients are carried out using your knowledge of animal physiology, nutrition, and medicine with your practical skills to diagnose illness, prescribe medicines, and perform imaging tests, laboratory tests and surgery.
This is a Full-Time role working 40 hours per week over 4 days. Working 1:5 Saturdays with No OOH the Rota will include occasional sole-charge. Occasionally you may also be required to work at our 2nd branch nearby for surgery purposes.
