We are currently recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking veterinary practice in East London for an experienced and motivated Head Vet to join and lead their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a clinically confident individual with a strong leadership mindset to take a central role in driving clinical standards, mentoring colleagues, and shaping the future of an already thriving practice.
🔍 About the Role
As Head Vet, you'll be a key member of the practice’s leadership team. You’ll take ownership of clinical direction, support professional development across the team, and ensure the continued delivery of exceptional, evidence-based care.
The role offers:
- A 4-day working week
- 1 in 4 weekends (no routine OOH)
- On-call availability for inpatients only – no emergency call-outs

👩⚕️ The Team & Practice
The current clinical team includes a Senior Vet, 4 additional Veterinary Surgeons, and a skilled nursing team of 6 RVNs, supported by experienced practice staff. Clinical specialisms in the team include:
- Orthopaedics
- Exotics
- BOAS surgery
There is a roughly 50/50 dog and cat client base, making this a particularly exciting opportunity for anyone with a passion for feline medicine.
The practice has a strong commitment to CPD and clinical progression, regularly running initiatives to support development at all levels.
