Veterinary Surgeon – Full Time
Independent Small Animal Practice | East Sussex
We are recruiting an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, independent small animal practice located near Eastbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident vet seeking clinical variety, modern facilities, and a supportive team environment with no out-of-hours commitments.
The Role
You will be working in a first-opinion small animal setting, supported by a collaborative and experienced team. The practice is well equipped and offers the opportunity to work cases to a high clinical standard, with exposure to advanced procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- First-opinion small animal consultations and surgery
- Use of advanced facilities including laparoscopic surgery and endoscopy
- Involvement with an established exotics caseload (if desired)
- Predominantly team-based working, with limited sole charge
Working Pattern
- Full time: 4 days per week
- Shift options: 8:30am–6:30pm or 9:00am–7:00pm
- 1 in 4 Saturdays (9:00am–2:00pm)
- No out-of-hours or on-call requirements
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range: £45,000 – £70,000+ per annum (depending on experience)
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Generous CPD allowance and support
- RCVS and VDS fees paid
About You
- MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Minimum of 3 years’ UK small animal experience
- Confident with routine consultations and surgery
- Comfortable working as part of a team
