Leapfrog Recruitment are looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our clients friendly team and veterinary practice situated in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate Veterinary Surgeon who is confident performing a mixture of 1st opinion consultations and surgery to a small, companion animal patient caseload. The ideal working rota for the practice would be 4 weekdays and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, however they are open to rota suggestions from applicants.
Working rota:
- 4 days per week, 8.45am-7pm
- 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, 8.45am-12.30pm
- No OOHs
About the practice:
A busy small animal practice which is equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, dedicated theatre suite and separate kennels and cattery. They have a team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons, 1 who is a Cardiology certificate holder, a Head Nurse who leads the nursing team of 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses and 1 Student Veterinary Nurses. They also have a great Support team of 3 and a Practice Manager.
Salary and benefits (in brief):
- Up to £75,000 per annum
- Up to £5k relocation allowance
- 6.6 weeks annual leave & increasing holiday allowance based on length of service
- Private medical insurance, enhanced policies including maternity/ paternity/ adoption etc
- £1250 CPD allowance with 5 days paid pro rata, additional learning and development opportunities
- Memberships and RCVS fees paid
Minimum requirements:
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Surgeon, or eligible to register in 2024
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Confident performing routine 1st opinion consults and surgery
