No two days are the same — you’ll enjoy a varied caseload with a mix of consulting and operating.
🩺 The Role
This is a general practice role suited to a capable all-rounder who enjoys variety.
You’ll be:
- Seeing a wide range of GP cases
- Comfortable with routine consultations and surgery
- Occasionally working in sole charge (with support always available from our other branch)
- Working closely with a collaborative, experienced team

- Someone who values continuity of care and building client relationships
This role is ideally suited to an experienced vet, but we remain open to those earlier in their career who have built a strong foundation.
⏰ Work-Life Balance
We know how important balance is, and we’re proud to offer:
- Approx. 30 hours per week (part-time) We try to be as flexible as possible and are happy to discuss what works for you around commitments
- Standard day: 9am – 6:30/7pm, with one earlier finish each week
- No out of hours or on-call
- Shared weekend rota: max 1 in 5 Saturday & Sunday mornings (clients only)
Great Dunmow offers excellent transport links, including easy access to the A120, nearby M11, and London Stansted Airport just 6 minutes’ drive away, allowing our vets to maximise downtime thanks to quick, convenient travel options.
