I’m working with a well-established small animal practice in North Essex, offering strong clinical support across multiple sites and a well-equipped hospital environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a vet looking to step into a more hospital-based role with a focus on complex medical work and advanced diagnostics.
The team is collaborative, experienced, and supportive, with a strong emphasis on clinical development and high-quality patient care.
What You’ll Do
- Manage complex medical and internal medicine cases within a hospital setting
- Work up cases using advanced diagnostic imaging
- Handle emergency and critical cases confidently
- Perform routine and some advanced abdominal surgery where required
- Collaborate closely with the wider clinical team across sites
- Contribute to high standards of inpatient care and case continuity

What They’re Looking For
Clinical Experience – Strong GP foundation
Criteria: Minimum 4–5 years’ small animal experience
Medical & Imaging Focus – Diagnostic expertise
Criteria: Strong interest and experience in imaging and internal medicine (certification desirable or in progress)
Case Management – Independent clinical ability
Criteria: Confident working up complex medical cases independently
Emergency Care – Calm under pressure
Criteria: Able to manage emergency cases confidently within a hospital environment
Flexibility – Multi-site working
Criteria: Willing to support other branches when required
