HSL, a reputable veterinary recruitment agency, is actively seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon, preferably with orthopaedic expertise, to join their client's expanding team in Greater Birmingham. The position offers a competitive salary of up to £100K, along with accommodation and a car. The client is also exploring the possibility of opening another branch and aims to increase surgical referrals with the right candidate.

Comprehensive In-House Services
While catering to all small animals, our client is particularly renowned for their expertise in bulldog care. Their senior vet is a Cambridge Approved Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS) assessor and has received extensive training under influential figures in the field. Their specialization in bulldog breeds sets them apart in the veterinary community.
Unlike many practices, our client's experienced team is equipped to handle a wide range of procedures in-house, including Entropion, BOAS, Cherry Eye, Cruciate Ligament Repair, and other bulldog-specific treatments. They also offer Out-of-Hours (OOHs) emergency care, routine operations, dermatology, radiography, diagnostic imaging, soft tissue surgery, and orthopaedic surgery.
Flexible Employment Options
Our client is flexible in their employment offerings. Ideally, they seek a full-time vet willing to participate in an OOHs rota, with shift times from 9am to 6:30pm on weekdays, 9am to 5pm on Saturdays, and Sundays reserved for emergencies only. However, they are open to part-time arrangements, or for those seeking school-time hours.

Competitive Salary and Benefits
For an experienced orthopaedic surgeon, our client can offer a salary of up to £100K. Alternatively, for experienced first opinion vets, a salary of £70,000+ is available. Additionally, they provide accommodation and a car for candidates relocating to the area.
