The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing, independently owned practice in West London. You’ll be working across two purpose-built sites, handling a varied and rewarding caseload—from routine consults to complex diagnostics and surgical procedures.

The role offers excellent clinical freedom, exposure to advanced cases, and the chance to work alongside visiting specialists, making it ideal for someone looking to continue developing their skills in a well-supported environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cases from initial consultation through to diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
• Perform a wide range of surgical procedures and diagnostics
• Deliver high standards of inpatient care, including hospitalised cases
• Work collaboratively within a supportive, experienced team
• Maintain accurate clinical records and provide clear client communication
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice

About You

• Experienced and confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
• Comfortable managing a varied caseload independently
• Strong surgical and diagnostic skillset
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• A team player with a proactive, positive approach
• Commercially aware and interested in contributing to practice growth

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Certificate holder or working towards one
• Experience in advanced procedures or imaging (e.g. ultrasound, orthopaedics, endoscopy)
• Interest in developing specialist services within practice

Facilities

You’ll have access to excellent, modern equipment across both sites, including:

• CT scanner
• Digital radiography (DR)
• Ultrasound (portable and cart-based)
• Endoscopy (rigid, bronchoscope, gastroscope)
• Two dedicated operating theatres
• Separate dog and cat wards
• Advanced surgical instrumentation and monitoring equipment

Working Pattern

• Primarily daytime hours
• Occasional requirement to support out-of-hours or emergencies if needed
• Based across two well-equipped, purpose-built sites in West London

Salary & Benefits

• Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
• £1,500 CPD allowance + 3 paid CPD days
